Education and Licensure
Ms. Jackson received her B.S. in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Wyoming in 2000 and her J.D. with honors from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2003. Ms. Jackson is licensed to practice law in Wyoming.
Prior Experience

Prior to opening Jackson & Ojeda, LLC, Ms. Jackson practiced at Long Reimer Winegar Beppler LLP and clerked for the First Judicial District Court Judges in Cheyenne, Wyoming including the Honorable James E. Burke, the Honorable Nicholas G. Kalokathis, and the Honorable Edward L. Grant. Ms. Jackson opened Jackson Law Firm, LLC in 2012 and joined with her partner, Monique Ojeda, in 2013 forming Jackson & Ojeda, LLC. Ms. Jackson primarily practices in the areas of elder law, family law and estate planning and administration.
Memberships and Associations:
Ms. Jackson is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), Wyoming Bar Association, and Laramie County Bar Association.
Community Service. Ms. Jackson regularly acts as a community guest lecturer to educate the community regarding elder law issues. Additionally, Ms. Jackson provides legal services through Wyoming Legal Aid on a consistent basis to aid those who are underprivileged and to educate Legal Aid attorneys regarding estate planning and elder law matters.

Family
Ms. Jackson is married to her wonderful husband, Stephen Cotton and the two of them raise three amazing daughters and one spoiled puppy together. When not working, Ms. Jackson enjoys hiking, camping, poker, and spending time with her family and friends.

In 1997 Monique received her undergraduate from the University of Wyoming in business management with a minor in psychology. In 2004 she received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Wyoming College of Law.
Prior Experience
Monique has been practicing law in the state of Wyoming for the past 17 years. Prior to opening Jackson and Ojeda, LLC, she practiced in 2 private law firms in Cheyenne handling a wide range of family law cases and then prosecuted domestic violence cases as an Assistant District Attorney for Laramie County. For the last 10 years, Monique has contracted through the Wyoming Guardian Ad Litem Program representing the best interests of children involved in CHINS, Delinquency, and Neglect cases in Laramie County.

Monique has previously served as the secretary for the American Inns of Court Ewing T. Kerr chapter.
Family
When not practicing law, Monique enjoys spending time with her children, traveling, trying new experiences, and living a healthy lifestyle. Her 2 daughters are attending college and come home often for family get togethers and to spend quality time with their little brother.
